Learning to Sew

 Have you wanted to learn to sew, but not sure how to get started? Do you need to brush up on your high school or 4-H skills from so long ago? Let Miss Dot and Miss Donna teach you the sewing machine basics, how to choose your fabric, how to read a pattern, how to layout and cut your fabric, basic sewing and seam techniques all while sewing fun projects that you can put to use right away. No prior experience is necessary and sewing machines are provided by The Fabric Shop.  Basic Sewing supplies are needed by the student. The Fabric Shop provides a steep discount on a basic starter sewing kit for the students taking this class.  

Six (6) Tuesday evenings starting on August 17th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
Cost: $72 plus cost of patterns and fabrics

Hand Embroidery

Learn to create the basic stitches that are required for pretty and charming baby outfits, pillows, wall hangings, and quilts. Preparing your fabrics, transferring patterns and finishing touches will all be taught. This is an ideal project for a lazy summer evening.
Thursday, September 2nd 5:00-8:00pm.

Learn to Serge

• Did you buy your serger because it was on sale, but missed the classes?
• Are you afraid of your serger?
• Do you know how to THREAD your serger?
• Do you really want to learn how to use your serger?

Then this class is for you. We are now planning a beginning serger class where you will learn the basic of serging, the parts of the serger, how to THREAD your serger, and how to maintain it.

You don' have to be afraid of your serger anymore! You will serge a simple project and gain the confidence to continue serging when you get home.
