Vintage Basic Pillowcase Dress
Pillowcase dresses for little girls are all the rage right now. Yours can be completely unique by using a vintage pillowcase for the skirt of the dress. In this class, Kay will teach beginner-level machine techniques such as gathering fabric, lining a bodice and making buttonholes.

Students need to either bring their pillowcase with them to class or they can purchase a vintage one from Kay for $10. Pattern size 2-5 will be furnished by the teacher. Some sewing experience is necessary. Plan to arrive ½ hr early to pick out your pillowcase and coordinating fabric. Heirloom Pinafore
This delightful little heirloom pinafore was created by Kay and involves no pattern. Kay will teach you the heirloom techniques needed to make this lovely garment, just in time for these hot summer months!

 She will teach beginner-level machine techniques such as gathering fabric, sewing lace to fabric or entredeux and making buttonholes. This little pinafore is made out of polished cotton and Martha Pullen laces which we have in the shop. Some sewing experience is necessary. Plan to arrive ½ hr early to pick out your pillowcase and coordinating fabric.

Heirloom 101 - Intro to Heirloom Sewing

This technique class will become your reference guide for future heirloom sewing. Kay designed this class for those beginning as well as those needing a refresher course.

You will learn to sew lace, beading, entredeux, & embroideries, make pin tucks, roll & whip, and other heirloom stitches. You'll be amazed how easy it is to create many exquisite projects. Some sewing experience is necessary.
