Beginning Knitting

 

In this four (4) week class, you will learn the basics of knitting: Casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, increasing, decreasing, and casting off. We will also cover basic knitting terms and abbreviations. This class will fill up fast, so don’t delay. Reserve your spot today to get a seat!   

 

 

Thursdays for 4 weeks - Feb 2,9,16 & 23 

Time: 6:00 -8pm.

Teacher: Denise Rostan-Haley

Fee: $15/class = $60 plus supplies.

 

We will have begining kits available for purchase, which include a pair of wooden single needles and yarn and all handouts

Knitting in the Round

 

 

A followup to beginning knitting, learn to make seamless garments e.g.mittens, hats, gloves. In class we will complete a mug cozy. Students must know how to cast-on, knit, purl, and cast-off in order to take this class.

 

Thursdays for 2 weeks - Mar 2 & 9

Time: 6:00 -8pm.

Teacher: Denise Rostan-Haley

Fee: $30 plus supplies.

 

 

Kits including a pair of wooden double-pointed  needles and yarn and handouts are available for purchase. Reserve one now!

 

"Put a Sock on it!"

 

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit a pair of socks, here’s your chance! In this six (6) week class, we will knit a simple pair of shortie socks. Pattern will be provided. 

 

Students must know how to cast on,knit & purl stitch, increase, decrease, and cast off. We will be “knitting in the round” and using the “long tail” cast on method. If you’re not familiar with either of these, we strongly recommend taking “Knitting in the Round” class which precedes this sock class. 

 

Thursdays for 6 weeks - Mar 23,30,Apr 6,13, 20,& 27 

Time: 6:00pm -8pm.

Teacher: Denise Rostan-Haley

 

Fee: $35 plus supplies. Kits including a pair of wooden double pointed needles, a stitch marker, and a stitch holder will are available for purchase. Reserve one now!
