Quilted Christmas Tree
The girls had so much fun in our first class and so did we! Make this neat
quilted Christmas tree. It can be a wall hanging, a placemat, a table topper, wrapping paper, or "whatever" you want. Make it larger if you want or smaller for a mug
rug.
Kit includes nine coordinating holiday fabrics in green tones, the backing,
the batting, a package of metallic rick rack and a ring for hanging, if desired. You can add those little lights or charms, or even put presents under the tree if you want. You decide. Make one for
everyone on your gift list. It's easy - buy more kits!
Class Fee: $10
Kit Cost: $10.25
Dates: Friday, December 7th from 10:00 - 1:30 pm or Saturday, December 15th from 10:30 - 2:00 pm
Holiday Pointsettia
Is this cute or what? This pointsettia candle holder is made out of fabric. With
the included T-light it gives off that soft flickering glow that we love at this time of season. No fire hazard here - its an LED T-light! Make several for your holiday table or just for decorating
around the house. But beware: everyone that sees one will want one. So, it's easy to make more, just buy more kits!
Kit includes red and green coordinating fabrics, a wooden base, an LED T-light, everything you need.

"Snap Happy" Bag
This
quick and easy purse snaps closed using a metal carpenter's tape measure to form the hinge. You've got to "hear" it to believe it - it "snaps when it opens and
closes. Never have your stuff falling out of your purse again. They are all the rage in the quilters & sewers circles. I made mine in
1 1/2 hours, and I just can't stop making them, they are so addictive.
Kit includes plenty of focus and coordinating fabrics, metal carpenter tape and the pattern. The pattern also has two other bag sizes included. If you come by the shop 45 minutes before class, you
can pick your own fabrics - but wait, you say "maybe I want to make more". No problem - just buy more kits, we even have all the stuff you need - one stop shopping. Additional kits are only $12.95,
since you already have the pattern.

Sewing & Serging Classes

There is a national trend towards people wanting to learn to sew and design fashion. This has been accelerated by the "Project Runway" show, and well-known sewing machine companies have even come out with their version of "Project Runway" sewing machines!
Sewing schools are popping up around the country, however, many of them do not provide a comprehensive curriculum, pack far too many students into the classes, and teachers often lack professional textile education and real-life experience.
Our full complement of sewing classes from novices to haute couture techniques will build your sewing, fashion design and decorator skills, from the basic to the most advanced. Our technically trained teachers have professional sewing and real-life experience and hold our classes in small intimate settings.
We will have you sewing & serging with confidence before you know it! Machine or hand sewing, there is something for everyone. Start simple. Now it's up to you, just start sewing!
Smocking and Heirloom Classes

Heirloom or French Sewing is a collection of needlework techniques that imitates French hand sewing of the 1890-1920 periods.
Using your sewing machine and special presser feet, you re-create these fine techniques while constructing beautiful and delicate items complete with laces and specialty trims. Our instructors have taught these classes for years and have hints and tips that will help guide you through each step of the way.
Our English Smocking classes will build your smocking and construction skills. Start simple, and then complete by making a girl's bishop dress complete with French seams, bias trim, piping, sleeve insertion and buttonholes.
Let us introduce you to this exciting world of stitchery and we will have you heirloom sewing and smocking with confidence in no time at all!
Quilting Classes

Our customers have demanded them and we have developed them!
We are offering a one day Intro to Quilting for all those who would like to begin quilting but don't know what to do or where to go. This class will let you "put your toe in the water" before you jump in and spend your hard-earned money on tools and patterns.
Our 8 week Beginning Quilting class is on Saturdays in the morning... Just some time for you ....Life is sweet!
These classes will introduce you to the basics of quilting and continue to challenge and grow your quilting skills as you progress. We will have you quilting with confidence before you know it!
Machine Embroidery Classes

Many of our customers have asked if we could please hold machine embroidery classes, and the answer is YES!. There are so many embroidery projects out there it can be overwhelming keeping up with all the new products and designs that are available. We are smitten with Anita Goodesigns' embroidery designs and she has terrific ideas of how to use them. This summer we are starting with two of her designs which are "All in the Hoop" designs.
Calling all Embroidery Club Members
Our Embroidery Club has started off with a bang! We will be meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 10:00 - 12:00.
