The Fabric Shop is a wonderful old-fashioned fabric and quilt shop, specializing in sewing and quilting fabrics of all sorts - at very reasonable prices. Our products and expert advice allow you to create your own unique garments, home decor or quilts without emptying your savings account!

Located off the National Historic Town Square in Springfield, TN, we cater to quilters, dressmakers, designers and general sewing enthusiasts as well as those who want to learn to sew. Our customer service and assistance is just like the old days - one on one with you, the customer.

We've got something for everyone! We carry a broad selection of fabrics, patterns, notions, threads, trims, battings and other sewing and quilting items.  Our strong variety of fabrics include high quality 100% quilting cottons,  polished cottons, wools, linens, silks, denim, polyester blends, and other garment materials, vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, faux furs, speciality bridal and prom fabrics and laces, as well as everyday needs fabrics, like canvas, cheesecloth and vinyl.

We also offer sewing, quilting, handbag, smocking and heirloom classes for novices up to the very experienced sewer & quilter.  Spurred on by "Project Runway", our very popular beginning sewing classes are proof that creative sewing is definitely re-emerging as a valued craft in the US.

Our private lessons are also offered at a very reasonable cost. We are a certified, licensed "Kids Can Sew" sewing school, where students as young as age 7 can learn to sew in after-school programs. Girl Scout Troops have gotten their sewing badges with our program.

This program is also an approved curriculum for homeschoolers also, and we will work with you to schedule classes around your schedule!
